DANIELE PATTON – ETHICS

Ethics is a musical reflection and a call to awareness. The music is born from a sense of urgency: a response to what is happening in today’s world, both in the musical scene and in national and international politics. It is a journey through the contradictions, injustices, and moral challenges that surround us.

The music draws inspiration from the great pianoless quartets of Ornette Coleman, Christian McBride, and Joe Sanders, but with a slightly different format, linking various sections together to create small suite-like forms, each tied to a specific theme.

<<the Hum>>

Take a blender and throw in: Die Antwoord, Richard Spaven, Nicolas Jaar, Oneohtrix Point Never, and an Aboriginal priest — and you’ll get “<<the Hum>>”

.
Corgiat and Patton merge their vastly different backgrounds to bring to life a completely new and original project. The fusion of such distant elements creates a unique sound that immerses the listener in a constantly evolving musical performance — driven by a solid rhythmic foundation and meticulous sound design, crafted to awaken the most primal and ancestral instincts.

After years of collaboration and sharing stages such as Robot Festival, Nextones, Jazz Re:Found, and Argo26, they finally give shape to a long-envisioned project.

Giovanni Corgiat Mecio is an Italian composer and producer of experimental electronic music. He won the 2019 Jagermusic Lab in Berlin and the 2023 Akousma Prize at the Totem Électroacoustique Contest in Montreal. He specialized in Electroacoustic Music Composition at the Conservatory of Turin. His research focuses on deconstructing classical compositional forms and exploring processes, recombinations, and sound transformations within an orchestral ambient atmosphere. He has performed at various festivals including Movement, Robot, Seeyousound, and Nextones.

Zanella – Perazzo – Patton

The Zanella-Perazzo-Patton trio is an instrumental group that explores a variety of jazz sounds, combining elements of swing, funk, modern jazz, and samba. The lineup includes Tommaso Prezzo on the Hammond organ, Niccolò Zanella on tenor saxophone, and Daniele Patton on drums. Together, the three musicians create a sound that reflects both tradition and innovation, with a strong nod to the classic Hammond trio, but enriched by contemporary influences.

This project stands out for its stylistic variety: from the driving rhythms of funk to the more reflective atmospheres of modern jazz, passing through the lively rhythmic structures of samba and the elegant progressions of swing. Each track is designed to highlight the synergy between the three instruments, emphasizing interplay and collective improvisation.

UNMET NEEDS

Imagine being in an empty room, entirely white. Inside it, a series of utterly ordinary, familiar objects: a fruit basket, a letter opener, a music stand, an armchair and, why not, a protractor.

How would you relate them to one another? Would you be forced to redefine their function?

Perhaps you might discover characteristics of these objects unknown to you, simply because you have never been compelled to conceive them within a single context.

That is the music of Unmet Needs: musical elements from the jazz tradition and, more broadly, from improvised music, stripped of any auditory reference to their original sphere, combined to create a result that is habitually destabilising.

Michele Tedesco – Trumpet
Lorenzo Cucco – Tenor Saxophone
Matteo Padoin – Double Bass
Daniele Patton – Drums

NUWE LEWE

Nuwe Lewe is an expression in Afrikaans meaning “new life.”
With this name, the trio — composed of tenor saxophone, double bass, and drums — seeks to evoke a journey beyond urban life and daily routine, aiming to re-establish an authentic connection with nature in its purest forms.

Their music is minimalistic and rooted in free improvisation, used as a tool to explore new sonic horizons: the melodies are essential, intertwining with intense rhythmic grooves whose repetition creates a deep, ritualistic character. Music becomes a way to rediscover those precious details often overlooked in the frenzy of everyday life: sounds, words, colours, and landscapes — long neglected — can be renewed and regain an entirely new life.

The trio, led by Lorenzo De Luca on tenor saxophone, features Matteo Padoin on double bass and Daniele Patton on drums. Their debut studio album, Nuwe Lewe, is scheduled for release in January 2026 on Nügo Records.

ANT-MILL

Settima Estinzione by A/V collective Ant Mill is a musical suite that evokes the cyclicality of terrestrial life, inquiring the man / Nature relationship and the result of this interaction. The body of texts is inspired by the flooding of the Cervo torrent – Italy, 2020. The poetic restituition of this catastrophic event unfolds through a mestizo sound between folk, post rock, electronic and jazz, in an overall structure that refers to the pro aesthetic. The imagery is inspired by the concepts of cosmogony, prophecy, ruins and often refers to mythological and ancestral symbols and tales, in-between the material and immaterial dimension
