ACQUARIUS

“ACQUARIUS” is the new project by Daniele Patton, a drummer and composer from Trento (Italy), born in 1994, active across both the national and international music scenes through a wide range of collaborations and projects.

Recently awarded First Prize at the Italy Percussive Arts Society Drum Contest (Senior Category – Drumset) and First Prize at UploadSounds as Best Under 35 Artist of the Euregio, Patton brings to the stage his original compositions together with a young ensemble of musicians from Trentino: ACQUARIUS.

On trumpet, Giulio Ferraro (23), already active in several ensembles and recipient of the Nuoro Jazz 2024 scholarship as Best Trumpet Player.
On keyboards and electric bass, Leonardo Carta (18) and Tommaso Cifariello (21), two rising talents of the local scene, recognized for their musicality and virtuosity.
Completing the quintet is Niccolò Zanella, one of the most compelling young saxophonists in Italy, awarded in numerous competitions and a long-time collaborator of Patton across multiple projects.

With ACQUARIUS, Patton introduces new compositions and arrangements, reshaping part of his repertoire through the influence of the UK Jazz movement, blended with elements of electronic and indie jazz.

His music is introspective, urban, and velvety, driven by a continuous groove that avoids sudden climaxes in favor of depth and immersion. It exists in a space between contemporary jazz, London club culture, and electronic beats — a modern rhythmic ritual that unfolds gradually, inviting the listener into a fluid and evolving sonic landscape.
